Well that was the BBC headline on "text" this morning. So I read the
article. I thought it might be to do with the winter Olympics!
There is an excellent idea - to expand sexual health testing beyond the
GUM/Special/Sexual Health clinics to free kits available in the high street.
I approve of all measures to allow people to test for sexual health
regularly. As father of a 21 year old I advise him to visit the GUM clinic
on a regular basis despite practising safe sex. He may or may not take that
advice (Well you guess whether he does or not) and all sexually active non
monogamous people should take it.
The final part of the story said "And results delivered by text message"
Now can anyone spot the fatal flaw in that? Apart form anything else GUM
clinic results and even attendance are guaranteed anonymity by act of
parliament.
