I have replied to the survey, I am a person who posts to the top (I
always think that the first posting you see should be the most recent
for ease of use), and I was one of those who dropped off from the list
for a while in the not too distant past. I am anything but a Data
Protection expert and that is my main reason for being a member of this
list so If I might be allowed to express my own preference I'd quite
like to see a line being drawn under the dogma of where to post and the
parade of people telling all that they can or can't access the survey
(including me!).
In hope rather than expectation

ps. I'm happy to confirm the questionnaire was easy enough to fill in,
once I had recovered a password.
[Trying some top-posting...]
What people don't do here is routinely "trim" their postings (as I have
made the effort to do below). As a result, almost uniquely amongst the
emails or lists which I receive, each posting tends to get bigger and
bigger, and more and more confused as to which is the latest material
added.

Nor will some of us ever let quirks in proprietary software like Outlook
dictate the way we work. What's so difficult about getting an email
client that defaults to doing things the right way, rather than upside
down?

Admit that you did understand, you just disagreed !

True, bottom posting should be the normal rule.

thing

Not in my experience. This list is the only place I regularly encounter
it :(
>Third, except on newsgroups, people are wholly accustomed to top
posting
[There, was that easier to follow???]
