HI
Has anyone had any experience of a contact from Insurers (investigation
firm acting on the Insurers behalf), acting to pursue someone in
connection with a road traffic accident. They have provided the name &
address and are asking us to confirm the details from our Council Tax
system.
They are quoting that the person in question is in breach of section
154 of the Road Traffic Act and that the information is exempt under
section 35, as they are wanting to pursue Legal Proceedings. I m
wondering if this is an acceptable use of CT information? They could of
course come in a view the Elec Reg but from their address that would be
a bit of trek.
Any views/experience gratefully received!
Thanks
