Indeed I make many job applications by email with the application form as an
attachment.
Unlike a posted application I am not required to sign the attached form.
Whereas with a faxed application I would always put the original completed
application form in the post, I never have to do that with an emailed
application.
For the first time, I have been asked by a job agency to bring in my
passport so that they can copy the original. They met me and photoed me
yesterday - it is quite unusual that they meet me.
Does that mean that I can only work for job agencies in London and environs
where I live? (Job agencies are supposed to see staff before they send along
to be interviewed - certainly if they belong to one of the recruitment
bodies).
