Tim
A few years ago this was raised here but nothing appears to have been
done but I wonder if we really need to. The IC states that for
constituency business/political (under FoI) councillors are now no
longer public authorities under the Act. Which brings me to suggest
that any Council business will be covered in the Council's standard
notification as technically they are employees of the Council.
Please note - this is only my view.

Subject: Who pays for elected member notification?
With apologies to all those to whom this means nothing...
Would any local council DP officers please tell me whether their council
pays for the notification of their elected members, or whether members
pay
for it themselves? Reply to me direct, and if anyone would like to know,
I
will post anonymous scores based on the responses I get.
Thanks in advance
