That is quite simply incorrect. The Register of Business Names was
abolished by the Companies Act 1984 (if I remember the date correctly).
Therefore there is no longer any register (publicly accessible or
otherwise) of such businesses and there hasn't been such a register for
20 years or so.
A sole trader is therefore simply another word for 'natural person'.
A partnership is therefore another word for 'two or more natural persons'
