See http://is2.lse.ac.uk/IDcard/default.htm "The Identity Project".
I did some work looking at the ID Card some months ago including looking at
the LSE's "An Alternative Blueprint for a National Identification System"
is.lse.ac.uk/idcard/identityreport.pdf
This was responded to by the Government in
www.identitycards.gov.uk/library/Response_LSE_Alternative_Blueprint.pdf.
It seemed to me that whilst the Govt was criticising the LSE's report in
detail, the Government didn't publish its assumptions for the LSE's
"experts" to question in the first place.
I would add that I am not an expert on the subject!
