Like you Tim - we have an Open Access Policy for Social Work but we also have one for Education as well and they are exempt. It used to apply to Housing too but we got rid of our housing stock.

I know you said Universities preferred but to start the ball rolling...
"Do you charge £10 for all requests?"
Everyone except people who want exclusively social services records.
"Do you charge only if it is likely to be a "big job"?"
No - as above.
"Would you charge for somebody merely to view their own Personnel record?"
Yes, at the moment.
Purely in my personal opinion, I think there is a good case for allowing
staff free access to read-only access to electronic records about them. If
staff want to see emails or other similarly time-consuming types of data,
then I think they should pay £10 like everyone else.

I would be interested in policies on charging for Subject Access Requests,
particularly from Universities, but all are welcome to respond.
Do you charge £10 for all requests?
Do you charge only if it is likely to be a "big job"?
Would you charge for somebody merely to view their own Personnel record?
Thanks
Graham
