Someone else was trying to blind me with science - and I thought that I
would reflect a bit of that back!
Incidentally what would be now IT was DP, ie Data Processing, when I worked
in market research nearly 30 years ago.
At the GLC it was CCS which had a ring of Alexis Korner about it (Collective
Consciousness Society, if I remember).
