Hi
Please raise the issues surrounding transport / travel costs for
postgraduate students. Where undergraduate students with serious mobility
problems have access to - in theory- unlimited funding to cover additional
travel costs (I'm thinking of students who have to use a taxi), once the
student progresses to postgraduate studies the costs become part of a fixed
annual allowance. A student with potentially high travel costs is also
likely to have high personal assistance requirements that also have to be
funded from the same allowance. I wonder how many students have been put off
going on to postgrad studies, or have had to study on a part time basis
because of the structure of the PG DSA.
