First of all, many thanks for your interest and responses.
In response to Tim's remarks, in order to keep the survey truly anonymous we
decided not to include any identifier information in the questionnaire.
However to be entered into the prize draw an email was sent asking
those who had
filled the questionnaire to send me their email address.
So there is a prize draw and everyone who has emailed me has been entered into
it automatically.
This relates to Data Protection in that we are looking on the concept of
ownership and how it affects the exchange of information. Both the FOI and DPA
Acts deal with the transfer and exchange of information. This survey looks at
how beliefs of ownership affect the transfer of information and
knowledge. Thus
even though we are looking at the impact of beliefs of ownership on the
exchange of information and knowledge in the general sense, we believe that it
applies also to Data Protection precepts. We also believe its results can be
applied in this arena.
Thanks,
Kind Regards
Ugo
