LGCS V.2 (http://www.rms-gb.org.uk/resources/92) states "Destroy when
information no longer needed". However, who decides when it is no
longer needed?
We keep SARs and supporting information for one year after the response
has been sent, which some people may feel is longer than necessary. We
made the decision based on the possibility of appeals/complaints to the
ICO and knowing what their backlog of complaints was like we would have
all the information to hand for up to a year. This will no doubt be
reviewed in due course.

Apologies for cross posting
Hi all,
A quick question this afternoon. How long do organisations hold Subject
Access Requests, supporting information and responses to requests under
the Data Protection Act?
Any assistance will be very much appreciated.
Regards,
Alex
