Dyslexia Tutor Ref: LR2421
£27,471 - £31,661 per annum
The postholder will participate in the development,
co-ordination and delivery of support strategies for students of the University and provide direct support services for students with dyslexia and related learning difficulties.
Applicants will:
* Have a degree with appropriate qualifications in dyslexia learning support
* Have experience of undertaking diagnostic assessments
* Have understanding of the current approaches to and issues affecting students with dyslexia and related learning difficulties in the HE sector
* Have excellent communication, organisational and
IT skills
* Be an effective team member
* Understand funding arrangements for students with disabilities in the HE sector.
DSA Needs Assessor Ref: LR2423
£27,471 - £31,661 per annum
The postholder will undertake learning support needs assessments of students with a disability, in accordance with DfES regulations and sector quality standards, and to provide disabled students with training in the use of assistive technologies.
Applicants will:
* Be a graduate with evidence of relevant professional development
* Have thorough knowledge of DSA requirements and procedures and of current developments in support for disabled students
* Have good working knowledge of assistive technologies
* Have excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills
* Have experience of assessing the needs of disabled students in higher education.
Mental Health Adviser (Part-time 20 hours per week) Ref: LR2420
£27,471 - £31,661 pro rata per annum
The postholder will co-ordinate and deliver support for students with mental health difficulties across the University.
Applicants will:
* Have a mental health-related professional qualification eg RMN, DipSW
* Have three years' experience as mental health practitioner
* Have excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills
* Be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
* Have a thorough knowledge of services offered by specialist agencies and mental health service providers

* Be able to work as part of a team.
Disabilities Team Administrator Ref: LR2422
£17,276 - 20,202 per annum
The postholder will provide administrative support to the Disability team with a particular focus on maintaining confidential records and supporting applications for Disability Support Allowance.
Applicants will:
* Be educated to degree level
* Have a minimum of two years' administration experience
* Have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate sensitively with people with differing needs
* Have excellent organisational and IT skills; previous experience of working in University administration is highly desirable.
