Slightly different strand to the original query but we are looking for a
couple of dyslexia support tutors for the new academic year to cover the
Birmingham area. Can anyone suggest the best way to advertise these
vacancies? Does anyone know someone who would be interested in working a
couple of days a week in this role?
Many thanks. Theresa

A lecturer in FE would ordinarily do 23 contact hours so if 1:1 is for
one hour 23 learners a week. However, if assessments, exam special
arrangements etc are to be an additional feature of the role I'd suggest
this figure should be reduced.

I would like to ask what others think is a reasonable number of
one to one
dyslexia tutorial sessions to ask a tutor to undertake in one
day, or the
average number acceptable in a week (this is for salaried staff
not hourly
paid)
Many thanks
