A bit peripheral, but I managed to get a human skeleton (smaller scale and
not real bones!) on the DSA for a blind student doing human physiology as
part of his sports science course. He needed it to 'get a feel' for where
muscles and tendons attached to the bones. He found it very useful and I
remember thinking it was surprisingly cheap. On the real subject of your
email: the Open University will have a lot of experience of this that they
may be willing to share. You could try approachoing their Office for
Students with Disabilities or thier Regional Office in your local region for
some advice.
