The next DDIG event is
“Personal Perspectives in Mathematics and Science”
A half-day DDIG event at University of Birmingham
Wednesday 7th December 2005 from 1.30pm
This event will focus on the achievements and experiences of dyslexic
Mathematicians and Scientists. There will be three short presentations,
followed by discussions in small groups. These will explore the ways in
which these experiences can inform the support of Maths and Science based
students in Higher Education. The event will be of particular interest to
both support tutors and academics working with dyslexic students.

Centre for Science Education, University of Glasgow
Group Discussions
· How can these experiences inform the support we provide for Maths
and Science based students in Higher Education?
A display will be made of the notes from each discussion group and food
will be provided.
