Subject: [DIS-FORUM] Deafblind Support Work - Professional Training
There are two places remaining on the three-day CACDP accredited Deafblind
Support Work course which runs from Tuesday 4-Thursday 6 October. This is
one of a range of short courses offered by the Centre for Access and
Communication Studies in Bristol, for people who are already working with
disabled people, or who would like to train to do so.
The course will give participants a basic understanding of deafblindness
and the communication requirements of deafblind people and enable
participants to develop communication and practical guiding skills. On the
final day, participants will take a short written paper and practical
examination that lead to the CACDP Level 2 Certificate in Deafblind Support
Work.
The course fee is £322.00 (residential) £235.00 (non residential) plus
£38 exam fee.
