It would be good to see PG DSA improved. However, as far as I'm aware it
is not as easy as simply the DfES agreeing to significantly increase the
allowance. The DfES got away with providing the basic allowance to PGs,
anything more, similar to that which the undergrads receive, would
probably require new legislation. (Undergrads come under the mandatory
award scheme, which PGs don't get). And do we want Parliament looking
closely at DSA?

I too agree that there is a need to review the post grad DSA however I

not think that it is the role of NADO or QAG.
NADO is there to support professionals working in the sector and QAG
is about the quality of the process.
If students are getting a raw deal then it is for the NUS and SKILL to
request changes; after all they are the bodies who look after the
students interests.
