37 hours per week
£29,128 - £34,227 per annum
The North East Regional Access Centre (NERAC) opened in 1996. Due to
increasing demand for its services, NERAC wishes to appoint a full time
Assessor.
The Assessor will have experience of assessing students’ learning support
needs across range of disabilities and impairments. They must have knowledge
of appropriate learning strategies for disabled students, preferably in
higher education, and have an excellent understanding of the application of
assistive technologies in an education setting.
Whilst the main emphasis of the role is to undertake assessments, the person
appointed will be expected to contribute fully to the development of NERAC,
including the DfES Quality Assurance Framework for Disabled Students
Allowance.
