A few of further points about this (I am on several JISCMAIL e-mailbases and coming close to geting RSI from repeated pressing of the delete button for out of office replies). The message should only say what Paul has said below. If you leave your name, adress, e-mail or disclaimer it can affect whether it works. Also, do not put anything in the subject line.
If anyone is worried about messages that they miss while they are away, all of them are available from the JISCMAIL archive when you get back.

If you have an 'out of office' message generated by your email account when
you are away it is much appreciated by all list members if you can suspend
your account for the duration.
There are two ways of doing this:
1. Send the message:
set dis-forum nomail
to: [log in to unmask] NOT THE DIS-FORUM LIST!
when you return send the message:
set dis-forum mail
to the same address.
2. Use the JISCMail web interface. If you don't already have a password you
