How long is a piece of string. The cost often varies from centre to centre
and with the work involved. More and more LEAs are asking for reassessments -
and usually will always do this if the student wants more equipment but if it's
an extension of a warranty and more p[hotocopying money they will likely sort
it themselves.
In theory a student can usually ask for an assessment and tjhe LEA will
agrtee but the LEA can sort it out themselves.
We will usually do a top up for free if the student is on the same cpourse
and there is less than an hour's work involved.
If the student's circumstances have changed significantly - eg a dyslexic
student is injured in an accident then we are essentially assessing for a
different disability and will often start again.

assessment. Do Centres perform top-up assessments for students who were
originally assessed elsewhere, or just for their own students?
Also, do LEAs generally require top-up assessments to be as detailed as the
original report?
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
