Dear All,
With apologies for cross posting.
I wonder if any of me FE colleagues can help me. I have a letter from a
student who will be starting an FE course with us in September. He has
attached his last statement from school which says that he has ADHD and
takes Ritalin as well as having features of dyspraxia and learning
difficulties. The report is dated just a few months prior to his
sixteenth birthday.
I know for HE that most LEAs would want an updated report. However,
what do FE colleagues do? Do you accept this as sufficient evidence of
disability or do you require students to undergo a more recent Ed Psych
report. When the student arrives with us in September he will be just
on eighteen years old.
Looking forward to hearing your advice.
Kind regards
Pauline
