What sort of results did you get when you evaluated the iPod?
We found it was unable to successfully record lectures with any of the
add-ons (Griffin or Belkin) even when used with a directional microphone.
The sampling rate is very low compared to a minidisc or decent (DM-20)
digital recorder.
The only one we have recommended is for a student who needed a recorder for
face-to-face tutorials. It's acceptable in this situation, even if it's not
the best solution. We noted that the student should pay the difference in
price if the iPod was her preferred solution.

I have done so just recently for the first time. The student in question
required an Apple Mac computer due to the nature of his course and the iPod
was recommended partly for compatability reasons.

Is anyone recommending these are used for recording lectures?
