Brian I've done a small-scale study (about 100 learners) relating to supported students with SpLDs which suggested retention & achievement very high compared to intstitution average, if you'd like the figures etc happy to send if you reply off forum (involves attachment with graphs etc don't want to bung people's in-trays up).
Best, Joel

Subject: Support and Retention
Is anyone aware of any research, or has anyone out there undertaken any,
locally or wider, into the issue of student support, including
disability support, and it's impact on student retention / progress /
success.
I.e. any evidence, apart from anecdotal from students, that what we do
actually makes a difference.
