I thought that under the DDA dyslexia was a 'medical condition'. Has
this changed?

Subject: Re: DRC Code of Practice for new Disability bill
Has anyone read Appendix B "the meaning of disability?"
I know I'm not alone in having trouble getting students with dyslexia to
accept the term "disabled" but now this document [and I do no know
whether the wording is from the DRC or the Bill] but it states "the
term mental impairment is intended to cover a wide range....including
what are often known as learning disabilities"
Is it too late to rescue people with dyslexia from the term "mental
impairment"?????????????
