Hi
Does anyone have experience of using software to support students in FE/HE
with punctuation and grammar? If so, what software would you recommend?
I have been told by iANSYST that The Punctuation Show and The Grammar Show
wouldn't be appropriate? Have tried looking at Merit software (below) but
couldn't get it to run?
Thanks Carol

the Journal of Research on Technology in Education
The Journal of Research on Technology in Education's Winter 2004-2005
issue contains a study showing that Merit reading programs increase
standardized test scores. This publication signifies the authority and
importance of the Merit Software study.
Consultants at Marshall University in West Virginia evaluated the
effectiveness of Merit programs on 6th and 8th graders. Treatment group
students, who had used Merit programs, made significant gains: their
scores on the Stanford Achievement Test-9 Vocabulary and Reading
Comprehension rose by 13.1% and 10.5% respectively.
