It's possible (but I suspect harder work) to make your flash accessible
-- see http://www.webaim.org/techniques/flash/ -- by, amongst other
things, adding appropriate text.
To quote:

There are three ways in which the Flash content can be made accessible
to screen reader users:
Make the Flash content natively accessible to the screen reader.
Make the Flash content self-voicing, eliminating the need for the
screen reader.
Provide an accessible alternative to the Flash content.
Any text in Flash is probably a graphic and so not normally detectable
or readable by screen readers.
