I believe the problem with the pen is; to quote Wizcom "Only dictionaries
whose source language is English include the text-to-speech option" and it
is not possible to edit the pronunciation style.
It is possible to work with the Pronunciation Tutor in TextHelp Read and
Write and the Pronounce Button under settings in ClaroRead and Dolphin
Tutor, if items have been scanned into a document. Someone who knows the
correct latin pronunciation could adapt the way the words are read to
improve the text to speech capabilities. This could take some time with a
large collection of words but they could then be stored in a user file. .
There is the 'Fine Gardening's Guide to Pronouncing Botanical Latin' with
audio files for a large number of plants.

Subject: latin words
Does any one know of a read out scaning pen for which there is either a
Latin dictionary/ horticultural dictionary (and yes I know no-one really
knows how to pronounce Latin!) for names of plants, or a facility to
train the word once so that it will read it out correctly next time?
thanks all.
