It's impossible to make blanket statements about the support a student
with 'X' will have, but having said that I think the additional cost of
an ensuite is probably an institutional one, since the institution is
not providing accessible accommodation, at least we have been 'topping
up' students in this way from Disability |Mainstream funding.
The issue about 'notes in absence' again it would be wrong to impose a
blanket ban or a blanket 'OK'. At NTU the issue of absences is discussed
with the programme leader and a reasonable accommodation is made, where
lectures are at 9am and cannot be moved or repeated the student with ME
may be provided with a notetaker in their absence since they cannot get
in before 10 (for example) or where the teaching day is 9am to 9pm as it
now is here a student with reduced stamina would find it extremely
detrimental to their health to do this and so adjustments are made -
reasonably and in a considered way.

As I understand it additional accommodation costs should not be paid
from
DSA. (Social Services should pay) And if you mean note taker goes to
lectures
insteaed of student than that's not allowed either. (Support is meant to
be just
that - support- not alternative learning styles) HEI can pay for the
note
taker if student not present but not the DSA.
