7 works perfectly as far as I can see,  no pun intended - I'm a sighted person who can make it work but one who needs to use it might think differently.  what I do notice is that most PDFs generate the warning "this document is not structured properly" or words to that effect

Re Reader 6 and 7: I found Adobe Acrobat Reader 6 appalling (the release I
tried was an early one, but was "stable" according to Adobe). It was very
resource hungry, the install didn't work at all without a work-around, and
it simply crashed on me whenever I tried to do anything. I've not tried 7
because of this. Maybe I should give it a go. I'm now on 5.5 from
OldVersions.com. Much faster and more stable. Read-e should work for most
PDFs with any version of Reader inc. 5.
