Thanks very much for this. This makes it much easier, as I wasn't too sure
the LEA would agree to pay for two separate versions...
Thanks again to everyone who helped,
Becky

In case you were wondering how this works in practice, it is as follows;
Dragon is available in French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and Japanese.
All foreign languages are supplied with CDs with English language as well.
When you are dictating in French you would need to close the application and
start the English version. This obviously means that you would need to train
the voice profile for both languages separately and you also need to use the
Microsoft Word with the correct language settings.
I hope this clarifies the situation.

Dear Becky
Apologies for late reply to this question. I have checked with Scansoft on
this and the answer is;
The language versions for Dragon French, German, Italian and Spanish contain
English (Preferred and above). Dutch includes the following languages:
English, French and German.
The price is around £200 and the availability is within 10 days.
I hope this is useful
Best wishes

Subject: Dragon German Edition
Hello all,
I have just phoned Scansoft, but they didn't see too sure (!). Does anyone
know if Dragon Naturally Speaking Prefered German edition allows the user
to input using both German and English? I have heard that this is the case,
but wanted to be sure before I recommended it for a student.
Thank you
