Hello everyone,
As I am sure you know it is that time of year again when we are rewriting our publication "Into Higher Education" and there are many changes for the 2006 edition.
However, we cannot produce this without your help. First of all a huge thank you to all of you who have returned you email updates of contact information and disability provision, this is very much appreciated. But there are still many more to be returned. Please save us from hassling you and return our email as soon as possible.
Now, request number two. We need disabled students experiences:
"Wanted: Disabled Students in Higher Education
We have received feedback from readers of Into Higher Education who have said they have found it very useful to read about the experiences of disabled students in this publication. We are therefore looking for students to write about their own experiences for Into Higher Education 2006.
The aim of the profiles is to encourage people with disabilities to consider applying to higher education whilst giving a realistic account of the joys and problems faced in higher education.
Reward:
A free copy of the publication featuring your profile and a free professional photograph
One free years' membership to Skill: National Bureau for Students with Disabilities
If you are interested in helping with this mission please contact:
Vicky Routledge on 020 7450 0634 or email at [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>
Please note that we do have a deadline to receive features by Easter."
I additionally have a poster that can be displayed around your University but unfortunately is too big to attach to this message so please email me at [log in to unmask] if you would like a copy.
And finally, we are also soon to be adding a new publication to our Into.... entitled Into Medicine. Again we are looking for case studies to include so if you know of any students studying medicine that may be interested in supporting such a publication please tell them about us or if they give their permission please pass their details directly to me.
Thank you for reading this and for any help that you are able to offer
Kind regards
Vicky Routledge
