BDACC ICT DAY AT
ST ANNE’S MILLENNIUM CENTRE RAINHILL
SATURDAY 26TH JUNE
10am to 3pm
This is a day for local BDA members to come and find out how computers and
software can help dyslexic children and adults to develop strategies to
support their learning differences.
All through the day there will be stands where hardware and software
providers will be available to show their products and discuss how they can
help. If you already use one of their products, you can sort out any
problems and make suggestions on how the products could be improved.
You can also discuss problems and ICT solutions with BDACC members.
There will also be four talks:
11am Sally McKeown (BECTA) ICT and the Dyslexic Child (including details of
CAP)
1.15 pm Victoria Crivelli (BDACC) Using ICT to support the Dyslexic child in
planning, writing and spelling.
2 pm Jeff Hughes (BDACC) Beyond School
OR Judith Stansfield (BDACC) Catch ‘em Young!
Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided by Special Needs Computing. There
are several eating places nearby.
The Millennium Centre is NW from junction 7 on the M62 and a map can be

There is no restriction on numbers, but it would help if you could indicate

The day is intended for BDA members, but you are welcome to bring an
interested guest (eg teacher or support assistant)
