DISABILITY ADVISER (0.5 FTE)
SUPPORT SERVICE FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
The Support Service for Students with Disabilities is an integral part of Student Services which has responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of a wide range of support services. We are looking for a part-time member of staff for this small team who will be committed to supporting our disabled students and developing services College wide.
Liverpool Hope seeks applications from graduate or equivalent-level persons who have experience of working with people with disabilities and have some knowledge of the issues concerning disabled students in higher education, who are knowledgeable regarding legislation and an understanding of and commitment to the promotion of equal opportunities and inclusion.
Candidates should have experience of advising disabled people, a commitment to team working, effective communication and interpersonal skills and good IT skills. You will be working predominately with a caseload of students but will be expected to play a role in helping to develop the service further.
Travel will be an essential part of the job, and the person appointed will be involved in supporting students at all locations where there are Hope students.
Appointment will be made on a part-time basis. Salary will be within the range £11000 - £12000 for this .5 post .
