For final year students we have done a 'mini' assessment and produced a
letter for the LEA outlining the recommendations and costs. We check
with the LEA that this will be acceptable before proceeding. It takes
less time for all involved. Where students are in need of equipment
LEA's have requested that loan costs are provided (rather than the cost
of purchasing).
