I wondered if anyone out there could help. I have been asked by my
institution to find out how other colleges tackle the issue of arranging
accommodation for individual disabled students. In particular
Who handles requests for accommodation from disabled students, particularly
with regard to specific adaptations?
Who is responsible for purchasing equipment such as hoists, shower chairs?
Who advises on health and safety in relation to disabled students' needs?
Who is responsible for arranging the maintenance and servicing of equipment
such as hoists?
Who organises and is responsible for any training in the use of the
equipment?
Any information would be appreciated.
