Thanks to all who replied to this posting.
The student has been told by GDB that it's her responsibility to clear up
after the dog. She is quite happy to do this at home, where she can easily
wash/change clothes if the process goes awry. It's how this would be dealt
with on campus that she's worried about!
I think we'll go back to GDB.

Hi Sue
Our Estates department have agreed to jet wash the area on a weekly basis,
besides that the student concerned has been trained to pick up after the dog
and put the waste in a doggie bin which again Estates have provided for the
student.
Hope it helped

Subject: Gudie dog toilet runs
Dear all,
One of our blind students has recently got a guide dog. The toilet run has
been set up on campus but we have a problem identifying who is going to
clear up the mess. Estates are reluctant unless I can come up with a
precedent from another university. So please, is there anyone out there
who's persuaded their Estates Dept to do this?! Any other suggestions
welcomed.
Thanks,
Sue
