I think that this looks good.
I also know I keep thinking that everything looks good at first then I
change my mind!!!!
I'm not sure where it is though; Maynard 0.5, Alsager - sounds American but
DDA and HE references make me think UK.

Please note that the following course is available free to all.
Universal Design for Learning: making learning materials accessible to all
Wednesday February 25th in Maynard 0.5, Alsager, from 12.00hrs to 15.00hrs
with lunch
and coffee break provided.
Since Higher Education was included in the Disability Discrimination Act in
September
2002, academics need to give careful consideration to their teaching
techniques,
learning materials and assessment methods to ensure that they are
accessible.
This workshop will consider the concept of Universal Design for Learning
(UDL) as a means
of developing inclusive approaches to teaching. For UDL to become a reality
we need
flexible materials from the curriculum developers and policies within the
institution
that support individualised goals, learning methods and assessment
practices. Implementing
UDL is ultimately the province of academics and this workshop will provide
the opportunity
to discuss the practicalities of implementation.
This session will be led by Ian Webb.
You are invited to reserve a place by contacting Claire Gorrell (on 0161 247
3491 or at
c.gorrell@mmu) in the LSU. Please also specify any particular requirements
whether
dietary, or other.
This event is ESF funded
