PhotoShop has a colour sampler tool which can quickly identify the amount
of cyan, magenta, yellow and black (or red, green, blue) for any pixel in a
picture. Perhaps a crib sheet could be constructed for him that shows the
relationship between these values and named colours like "pink" and "blue".
You can also find Pantone colours if you select "Custom" when using the
colour picker.
