> Building potential: employability and accessibility for disabled students in higher education
> Monday 29-Tuesday 30 November 2004
> Burleigh Court Conference Centre, Loughborough University, Leicestershire
> This year the Skill annual conference for all staff who plan and provide services for disabled students in higher education has three themes to pull together the most essential information for delegates on the forthcoming changes to the DDA legislation in higher education.
> These are employability and work placements, qualification and professional bodies, and physical features. There will be a plenary session on strategic issues for disability officers and Professor David Melville, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kent and Chairman of the University Vocational Awards Council will be giving the keynote speech on his perspective of employability and accessibilty for disabled students
> Workshops will cover good practice around issues on employability, professions and physical features as well as other issues relevant to staff working with disabled students in the higher education sector.
>
The booking form for the conference is available on the dis-forum file pages, http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/files/DIS-FORUM/BuildingPotential.PDF
