Your local NHS speech and language therapy service should have someone who
speicalises in supporting stammerers - you can get contact details from
Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists www.rcslt.org
Voluntary organisations have a wealth of info, advice and support - try
British Association of Stammerers - www.stammering.org - or the Michael
Palin Centre at www.stammeringcentre.org. (They are really for children
but go up through teenagers and will be very wired for educational info.)
Communications Forum is an umbrella organisation for all types of speech
and language difficulties - so if you want to find a voluntary
organisation for a particular speech and language problem, try them.
