I hesitate to suggest trying the Virtual lighting designer web page but it
is hard to advise not knowing the setting so this website may be worth a
try. They offer a classroom setting in the dropdown box which leads to a
view of the room with various products and further links to the product.
The Lighting Institute is also linked from this webpage
http://www.gelighting.com/eu/business/lasc.htm (the site uses pop up
windows). I wish I could remember the name of the lights we had in out
offices that offered both up and down lighting as this was very useful and
felt nothing like the normal fluorescent lighting with flickers.
Task lights are available from Optima Low Vision Services Ltd at very
competitive prices for those who have visual acuity difficulties.
http://www.optimalowvision.co.uk/ Go to 'Our Products' and choose Lighting
and Accessories - they also offer advice.
Best wishes

Subject: Lighting in computer clusters and library
Hi
Can anyone recommend appropriate overhead lighting (supplier/product) for
student computer clusters where we have to consider a range of special
needs?
