To Disabled Students/All Support Staff for Disabled Students at UK
Universities
Professor Edward Marsland Bursary
Disability West Midlands administers an annual bursary of £1,000,
generously funded by Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund.
For various reasons this year’s bursary has not been fully awarded and some
funds are still available.
The key criteria for application are that the student should be disabled,
have a home address in the West Midlands, and that the financial need is
related to their impairment/disability and will help them with their
current studies.
If you are a disabled student interested in this funding opportunity please
contact your Disabled Student Support Team in the first instance.
We would be happy to discuss with support staff by telephone or email any
late application for this academic year and suggest funding could cover
such items as taping equipment or specialised software. It may also be
particularly helpful for students who may have additional needs on an
obligatory course-related work placement, which are not currently covered
by Disabled Student’s Allowance.
Closing date for new applications is February 29th 2004.
We look forward to hearing from you:
