Anna,
We have a room in a building in the centre of campus called the Clarkson room, which is a facility for students with Disabilities to rest/work in a comfortable, quiet area. It started when our previous on campus accommodation for disabled students closed, and the students felt that they did not have time to get to off campus halls of residence between lectures. Some money was donated for furnishings.
Email if you would like further details on the set up.

Subject: Advice needed re student with ME
One of our students who has ME has asked if we can provide somewhere within the University for him to lie down when he becomes very fatigued. We do not currently have this sort of facility available at the University. I am sure that this is a request that disability officers must come across quite regularly – please can disability officers from other Universities let me know if they have encountered similar situations and if they have been able to provide this sort of facility?
I will be very grateful for any information/advice,
Kind Regards,
Anna
