DYSLEXIA SPECIALIST
ALC Grade 2/3 (£22,507 - £29,128 or £30,363 - £35,883)
Applications are invited for the post of Dyslexia Specialist within the
University’s Disability Services department.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated dyslexia
expert with a student-centred approach to the delivery of support services.
You will be primarily responsible for delivering screening, diagnostic (if
suitably qualified) and study skills support services for individuals and
groups of dyslexic students. You will also be expected to undertake DSA
study needs assessments, through the University’s Access Centre services,
and to contribute to our disability-related staff development programme.
You will need excellent interpersonal, IT and communication skills and have
extensive working knowledge of dyslexia. Experience of supporting students
is highly desirable, as is knowledge of assistive technology.
Salary will be within the ALC 2/3 scale, with initial appointment at Grade
3 available only to a suitably experienced Chartered Psychologist. Informal
