Hi all
Thanks for all the helpful replies re my Braille Embosser network query.
They must have been helpful as I now have the embosser working on the
network!
Anyway, my second query is to do with translation software. At the moment
we have the embosser running with no software. Therefore, we are only
finding that we can send plain text from Word (2003) to the embosser.
However, there will be times when bullet point lists and maybe tables may
need to be sent to the embosser. As far as I am aware I need translation
software to do this efficiently.
The software (that I am aware of) is...
- WinBraille
- Duxbury
- Braille Maker for Windows
We have WinBraille BETA (as it's free) and I believe this comes with an
Office 2003 plugin that might allow us to print bullet lists and/or tables.
However, we have not tried it yet. I believe Duxbury is around £600 for a
single license and Braille Maker is about £200.
Does anyone else know of any other translation software or has anyone had
any experience with using translation software?
I would be very interested to here (on or off list) from anyone who could
lend a hand.
Many thanks
