I have received a request from Immigration and nationality directorate
regarding a student. When I asked under what legislation they were asking
for the information they quoted section 20 of the Immigration and Asylum
Act 1999. I've read it and I'm not convinced it applies to a University -
unless 20(1)(f) "any specified person, for purposes specified in relation
to that person" is intended to be a catch all?
Has anyone else dealt with such a request?
Many thanks
Alison
