Somebody will come up now and give 125 schedules of why they must not, and
why owners of every house where the previous occupant leaves a forwarding
address must have at least a degree in law.
Plainly, if the government dept. took a parcel to deliver it at the old address, the
new owners will give the new address to go and deliver it there. The govt dept
can obtain the address, to what use they put it and if they use fair means is
another story.
If the previous owners wanted to retain their privacy they could (should) have
got a post office box as a forwarding address or should not have bothered at
all.
(Unpaid poll tax ... oops sorry, Council Tax?) :-)
