As social work records are Accessible Records, the Durant judgement on
Relevant Filing System does not apply. On the face of it, therefore, the
grandfather may have a right of access to his data but not to the data
relating to the child or any other party.
However, an exemption under S30 (coming from SI 2000 No 413 or SI 2000 No
415) might well apply in that provision of any information might cause
serious harm.
