Thanks for the feedback, I'll be looking into those points you raised. I
must admit that when I was told I would be running the launch of a Data
Protection Newsletter to Data protection professionals I was struck by the
multitude of possible faux-pas' available to me..
I do think I had provided a 'fair' option to those interested in the
newsletter who were concerned about submitting personal details, ie emailing
me direct and asking for a copy, stating in that email that you don't want
your email address used for anything else. eg,
"Hi Dan, I'd like a copy, please do not add my name to any mailing list"
That said, I'm learning as I go, and relying on the guiding principle of the
IC's office of being fair, reasonable, and most importantly, quick to act on
any opt-out!
